At Boulder U-Fix-It Clinic events, people bring all sorts of broken appliances, toys, electronics, clothing and work with volunteer coaches to learn hands-on repair skills
such as using small hand tools, soldering and troubleshooting. A set of tools is available for each participant to use.

What you can bring:
  • Any small appliance – toasters, vacuums, blenders, lamps, etc.
  • Electric games and toys
  • Power tools
  • …and your own curiosity about how things work
If you already have the replacement part or specialized tool you suspect you’ll need, please bring it with you.

New! Fabric/clothing repair. You can bring:
  • Mending (missing button, rip in seam, tear in fabric)
  • Hemming (too short or too long)
  • Minor alterations (take in at sides, shorten plain sleeves, etc.)
Coaches can show you how to use your own machine (and fix or advise on its repair, if it isn't working properly), use one of our  machines, use hand tools (needle, thread, ripper, etc.) and demonstrate the use of some handy tools that you may not have.

If you have the missing button, a fabric to patch with or a matching thread, etc. please bring it with you!
